I've started making coin rings from silver coins. Here's a few samples of some. I'm using Morgan dollars, Walking Liberty, Franklin or Kennedy half dollars, or Washington quarters. The dollars can be sized from about a 10 to a 16, the half dollars from 8 to 14 and the quarters from a 6 to 11. I'm selling the dollar rings for $80, shipped, the half dollars for $68, shipped and the quarters for $58, shipped. I can make one using your coin for $50 straight up. You pay to ship your coin to me and I'll pay to ship the ring back to you. But, sometimes a coin does tear when I'm stretching it to a larger size, so if you have a coin that has sentimental value it's probably best to keep it and use one of my coins to make a ring. The rings can be finished either polished or antiqued. The quarter photo is polished. All the other photos are antique. If anyone is interested, message me and we'll get together.
Note 1: I asked Guvner for permission to run this perpetual ad and he generously allowed it.
Note 2: No, making coins rings isn't illegal. The US code says you can't fraudulently modify coins...meaning you can't change a coin and then try to represent it as legal currency of a different value. I'm changing the coin into a piece of jewelry and it's no longer being represented as currency.
Thanks for looking.
