Here's photos of a 1726 Spanish One Reale I found today. The first photos were taken outside with cloudy skies overhead. The second group was taken under incandenscent lighting. As you can see I still have some learning to do for the indoor photos.

The second indoor shot is great. The focas is perfect. I just needs to be lightened a little which is an easy task for almost any photo editing software. Your on the right track.
