COIN MODE VS PROSPECTING MODE- X-70

:shrug::minelab:USING THE X-70 FOR RELIC HUNTING,CAN YOU USE BOTH MODES?I HAVE HEARD IT BOTH WAYS?NEED SOME HELP ON THIS.THANK YOU.:shrug:

You can use both modes. But only one at a time. If I were relic hunting, I would use the Coin mode, four tones, in all metal. I prefer to take advantage of the audio and visual target ID, which does not function as such in Prospecting mode. (LCD shows Iron Mask setting and tone selects threshold pitch). If you find yourself digging too much iron in all metal Coin mode, you can either set up in a Pattern, and notch out the items you want to reject. Or, you could switch to Prospecting mode and set the Iron Mask level to reject ferrous targets of a certain level. It is said the Prospecting mode will hunt a bit deeper. But again, you will sacrifice visual and audio target ID. Hope this helps. HH Randy
