coin master pro?

My wife has been eye balling this metal detector, so I read a few things on it but still don't know much, my question is does it have a locking collar? Thanks, HHH.

NO locking collar for the shaft I suppose you could fabricate one from another detector,I am sure it was a cost saving thing.

You can buy a used Classic ID, IDX and maybe an IDX pro for what a new Coinmaster Pro costs. No comparison in performance. Plus a ton of coils to choose from. This is what I suggest.

n/t

Yes, I am rather biased, but the Prizm series, with a little change in color and packaging to become the Coinmaster models, were brought out to replace the Classic series. Sad ... just a very sad event, but I've seen it through the years from different detector makers.

For the money ... or LESS ... you can get a Classic ID, Classic IDX or the IDX Pro and have more search coil choices, longer battery life from the 8-AA batteries, and get a faster-response and quicker-recovery on detected targets.

I've owned a couple of the newer models, but won't again. Yes, there is a lot of features for the dollar, but the Classic are easier-to-use, provide a good variable Discriminate control, better response, handle iron nails better, and will last a long time.
