Nice pile of loot John. I turned in another $79 today myself but I am still short of buying another coin. Post a picture when you get it.

Shouldn't you guys be waiting until the price of gold goes down a little, before buying?:smoke:
Shouldn't you guys be waiting until the price of gold goes down a little, before buying?:smoke:
It may never go down. It's like the market, a roll of the dice. When I bought my 1st gold coin in the early 80's I thought wow, 3 something an ounce? Am I doing the right thing. Now it has more than doubled. Plus for me it is all found money. A free gold coin. It doesn't get any better than that.

I remember when it was $35.00 an ounce. Back many years ago the Hunt brothers of Texas bought up millions of ounces of silver and drove the price up to $50 an ounce then unloaded a ton of it and made a fortune. That can happen with gold. Gold always goes up when the dollar is weak and falling.

True, true.............

I just love any post that had to do with coin cleaning! I have all mine, except for pennies and a few rolls of quarters and dimes, tumbled and rolled and most have already been converted to bills. Had to, I was keeping the rolled coins in a tackle box and broke the hinge lifting it because of all the loot. I still haven't decided what I'm going to spend it on. A gold coin is high on the list or a trip to Florida. Already got some nice silver bullion in partial payment for the gold rings I scrapped. The check for the gold is in a special savings account happily compounding away. Listen carefully, there it goes again!

Please post pics of what you get!

Chris

In case you missed it the first time!

Too funny. That's a real problem we all share..."what to buy with my detecting loot".

Usually we eventually come up with an answer, or ask your spouse
