Coin Hunting with the M6....:clapping:

First let me say that 99% of the time I hunt relics... so you seasoned coin hunters out there, bear with me... Hunted an
Old house about 75 years old that up until a few year ago was rental property with the good ole boys and their cars on blocks in the front yard. That gives you an idea of the junk both ferrous and non-ferrous in this yard.... Stock coil on the M6 with disc. at right below nickels and sensitively at 90%, trigger pushed forward in the audio ID position...I start swinging the coil and a variety of sounds started coming from the 6, BUT occassionally you could hear a high pitch with the other audio... slowed the coil down, and a lot of those high pitches were coins. Targets that read nickels and didn't move WERE nickels...any jumping in the tab-nickel areas were bad targets....The 6 did well with the stock coil but with a small
5.3 coil of 4 X 6 DD, this machine should be great for trash and seperation.... The processor can handle the info under the coil and relate it to you at varying sweep speeds... I can see where this machine could do better with coins than the MXT because of the high audio...With the exception of zinc and nickels(both make a distinct
sound)coins fall into the upper high audio range.... More to come
