Coin Cleaning - Tumbler or Ultrasonic Best ?

Hi Guys, I have a lot of clad and some silver coins that are not that valuable - that I dug that need to be cleaned.
I wanted to ask if an Ultra Sonic Cleaner would do a good job of cleaning the coins or if I should just get a Tumbler ?
Seems like the Ultra Sonic machines have a very short cycle time vs tumbling for approx. 24 hrs.
What do you think ?

Thanks in advance ! --- Mark

tell you what i did i found a merc dime 1940ish and it had been in a fire looked like the blck crud would not come off with scrubbing or lemon juice for an hour so i unintentionally left it in lemon juice all night and when i got up next morning it was cloudy but clean i then polished it with my fingers and later a rag it looks like a new dime !

There's a youtube video on cleaning blackened silver also. (using electrolysis) works great Most silver when turned black is cleanable you just don't want to abrade the surface.

I wouldn't invest money to clean clad.

If the penny's are in bad shape I throw them away. Anything other than a penny I just scrub with a toothbrush and spend it.

I have been thinking about just getting one of those netted style bags and just throwing the change in it and washing all of it with my work clothes. Just a thought.

Actually, I have never had any problems spending the dirty money, sometimes they look close, but they always take it.
