can anyone explain to me how coin check works on these machines or any machine that has that fuction?

The coin check is like selecting a second discriminator with a fixed value that discriminates out low conductors and gives you likely high conducting coins. I don't remember exactly where the fixed coin check discriminator is set. Some web searching may help find it or maybe someone else can chime in.

at a point to just reject modern zinc cents. This would also knock out 90%
