Coin Book Recommendations

Folks,

I'm intested in expanding my MT library and in particular I'd like to add a book or two on US Coins. I hear many references to Wheates etc and for the most part don't have a very good grasp as to what these varous refernces are describing.

My coin books include:

Coil World 2005 Guide to US Coins
Red book Guide to US Coins 2004 (I like this one)
100 Greatest Coins (on order)

Anyone have any other favorites they would recommend.

Thanks

Jerry K

The Red Book is the "Bible", I also have a tattered copy of Photograde, which gives large size pics that help you grade coins... very helpful, but not sure it's still in print. I think rather than books, you might learn more reading the Coin World paper. A Krause World Coin book would be handy to have too, it's big like a phone book. So, kinda rambling, this is what I would recommend:

Photograde
Krause World Coins
Subscription to Coin World newspaper
