Hey all
I was looking for a different coil and i found this "Platypus" Elliptical Coil.
Has anyone used this coil before?

I found this artical by Andy Sabisch
Platypus coil

Hi Rizsie,

I have used the Platy for years on my Ex-2 and now on E-trac, I find that it is a better coil than the older stock coils with more coverage and good separation. Depth is similar. If you have the new 11" Pro coil I think you would find there is virtually no difference in performance between them.
I do love the little Coiltek Joey coil for trashy sites and for days when the arm is tired out as it feels weightless on the end of the rod. Note that with Joey if you get one you must put silicone sealant at the coil connection inside the strain relief, and at the base where it enters the coil top as Joey isn't waterproof.

Drew.

Thanks Drew for your insite. I think that i might get one.
I was also looking at the 15" WOT COIL BY COILTEK, Has any one used this coil with the safari?
I hear that it is good on the beach.
