Coiltek 15 inch coil differences?

tvr

Well-known member
Coiltek has a 15" Treasureseeker Sovereign coil listed for $262.50 and a 15" WOT Coil for $300. The pictures and printed specifications look the same. Anyone know what the $37.50 difference buys?

Thanks in advance!!!
Cheers,

Got information on what the difference is: The Coil listed and sold for the Sovereign comes with the connector (manufacturer number C040005); the coil listed and sold for the Excalibur does not have the connector (manufacturer number C040006). There is no other difference. The coil with the connector cost less to the dealer and thus is sold for less.

If I get one for the Excal, I'll get it with the standard connector and cut the connector off. The difference saves just about enough for dinner out with the wife!

I assume it has to do with supply and demand. They dont make/sale as many to hard wire to the Xcal. You are right it would be silly to buy the more expensive one...... looks like an example of taking advantage of those who DONT know. I think i saw that same trick used with some of the parts for the Sov that can be used with the Xcal.... like the lower shaft.
