Hi,
What you think about the new coiltek 10" Joey for Explorer ?
http://www.coiltek.com.au/Products/10explor.htm

I like it and use it quite a bit, Great for trash and tight spots while still getting good coverage. I dont think it gets quite as deep as the 8 inch coils, but pretty close.. no where near the depth of the stock coil, but then again neither do the 8 inchers. A few things that can be bothersome is its more sensitive to hot rocks and tends to false a bit in the rain more than the 8 inch coils. It also seems to lock onto iron more often, but I think that also gives it an edge on seeing good targets in iron. I can tell the hot rocks and most times the iron so that doesnt bother me much, unless I get into an area with loads of hot rocks. The X8 coil is much less apt to hit on iron and hot rocks.. I kind of switch between the X8 and Joey most times, using the stock coil if I want more depth, and the X5 if I really want to pick off stuff in high trash/iron

not so great on depth but when you gotta hunt the trashy areas it is wonderful. Second day I used mine I was able to pick out a Franklin half that was only 2 or 3 inches deep but right in a bunch of trash and I had hammered that place a dozen times. Good coil.

I really like the coil easy to pinpoint, great in trash or if you need to get close to something. I leave it on most of the time but it can be a pain in damp/wet weather. I wish it was waterproof.
