coils

Purchased it the last of Dec. and have had it out weather permitting 3 times so far. I find it appears to get a little better depth than the stock coil with the settings I'm using. Haven't found the holy grail yet but have found coin's I've missed with my old Explorer using the stock coil. It also feels lighter and is a lot easier to pinpoint with. Still getting used to the EX-II and it's response also.
 
I got one but I think there was something wrong with it. Doc is a great guy to deal with. A replacement coil is on it's way back to me. I'll let you know how it goes.

I agree with JB though... the balance was much better with the Platypus since the mount is centered.
