Coils Interchangeable?

Greetings everyone,

My dad has a Garrett that is about ten years old. It is one that came with an analog display. I can't for thelife of me remeber the model, but maybe that won't matter. Do garrett machines allow coils of different year, diameter, etc to be used on several different machines? He is thinking about the 250 Ace, but he has a small coil for his old machine hat he would like to use on the 250. Any chance it would work? Thanks in advance for your help.
Kind regards,

I think the analog meter might have been a Grandmaster Hunter CX, one of Charles Garrett's favorite relic hunting machines. The coils in all probability won't be compatible, because different metal detectors operate on different frequencies. The detectors have to be tuned to the different coils. And finally, the male/female connectors for coil/machine will also be different.

If the current coil on his machine says "Deepseeker" or "Crossfire" no they won't. The Crossire II" should but the newer coils for the Ace 250 will work better. Get the best and forget the rest. You'll never regret the best.
My two stincin' zincin' Lincolns.
