coils for e-trac

I have 3 coils for new e-trac Sunray x series 8 " Coiltek 10" x 5 " and the stock coil the e-trac comes with . Question which one is the best ? Question are they all waterproof ? - thanks

"Best"? If you mean.."unbelievable separation, depth, construction, ease of swing and a super crisp signal" then the X-8. Many people love the stock "Pro" coil. I've got the 11" on my CTX and love it as well. But not as much as the X-8 on my Explorer2. You really have to experience it to believe it. It is THE perfect coil. It is also an opinion. Try them all for 2 hours each on the SAME ground. Stock first,Coiltek second,X-8 last. See if you can draw your own conclusions about things. Don't FLAG the signals, just keep a count. That way the coils are finding the targets in the wild without having the benefit of knowing where they are already. You do a 200x200 square ft area and get, say, 23 signals that you would absolutely dig. Then change coils and repeat. Let us know how things go overall. Nothing is guaranteed, the coil has to be over the target to have a chance of finding it. New coils on a beaten to death site don't ensure success. But they CAN help,if the targets are there but hard to find.

I don't like the Stock Coil at all. I have all that you mentioned plus a few more. The Sunray X8 is my favorite but I am just as comfotable with the Coiltek 10X5
