first time post. question, or there any after market coils for the atpro?i was hopeing there was even a bigger coil then the stock.so that I could cover area faster in our fresh water lakes' I don't have a pro. but was thanking about getting one

There are after market coils for the AT Pro, AT Gold And ACE Series detectors. As a rule, the bigger the coil, the deeper it goes. There have been some good reports on the NEL Storm Coil (13"x14") Depth Test against other detectors costing much more then the AT Pro. Below is a link to the dealers who sponsor this forum. Give them a jingle and see who carries them. Good luck. If you do purchase one, please post your results here.

Interesting. I just popped for a new Tejon coil and I"m considering something bigger for the ATP.

You can go even BIGGER with the:

Nel Big 15x17" AT-Pro Search Coil

Cover a lot of ground FAST ! ! ! BUT it is heavy. About $245

I have the 4.5 round sniper coil also. Each has it own purpose and area where it shines.
Either it is difficult or I have not learned, yet, how to pinpoint with the BIG NEL. I still use it when needed.
I am not into comparing one coil to another, I'll leave that for other. I choose a coil for the area, conditions and probable target I am searching for.

thanks for the info.I am a water hunter here in east texas,we have a few swimming areas that or fairly big, but not to trashey.depth is not a problem, but would like to cover the area a little quicker.i wonder how the 13 by 14 neil coil would swaing in the water?
