COIL

Can someone that has experience with the older Tesoro detectors like the Bandito 2(not umax ),or the Golden Sabre Plus use the 7" thin coil like used on the Troy Shadow?I understand the Golden was 15 khz, that may make a difference,or what coils would be compatable with these two units, thanks,Cal

It is my understanding that those detectors (plus the pantera) will accept any coil that was designed for the umax detectors(Except Tejon & LST).

Ps. I guess if I'm wrong, I'll find out shortly! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

Thanks for the response, just sort of collecting older units and trying them out, just love detecting period I guess. My mainstay is the IDX Pro,with the Sovereign for salt beaches, but have had and still have some of these, the MXT,the DFX,the XLT,most of the 6000 series including the Pro xl,the Fisher CZ7a pro,the Shadow x2,and a few more. All of these have been great detectors, some more so than others.I honestly believe that if they could come up with a detector that could reach down two feet and tell you exactly what was there,it would soon get boring, would be more like going to work, not knowing what you have until its in your hand is what its about, the suspense and anticipation of a great find.I think the beers getting to me so will say goodnight....Cal
