Coil winding question for the goldquest DD

CB1100F

New member
Hi, I`m in the process of putting new end terminals on two DD coils that were home spun for the goldquest. They were done by a member here but he couldn't remember specifics about the resistors used at the plug end. The coils worked great up until the wires broke and I am trying to understand what was the intent since they seem to be of different values.
On the first DD coil it is a 10X8 and uses a 560 Ohm resistor between one wire and the ground, the other lead there are two 1.2K in parallel also going to ground then of course the shield wire also terminates there.
the other is a 14 inch with the same configuration but with each lead having a 1.2K going to ground. I am trying to understand why the difference. Is it a final ohm value there that needs to be measured by the circuit that could not be achieved in the winding process so it is tailored at the end wires or is it something else. I know when the DD coil is used there are resistors added, are these the resistors used and why would they be different as in the first coil?
By the way I`m taking off the switchcrafts it had and installing mini buccaneers, seems to be the right choice unless there are any other waterproof panel connectors that will support the cable without moving the soldered wires.
Thanks for your help on this.
