Coil Weights

A common question on the MXT forum regarding coils is how much do they weight? I took two coils to the post office today to have them weighed. The White's 6x10 DD weighed 1.15 lbs, and the Excelerator 10x12 S.E.F. weighed 1.45 lbs. If you have accurate coil weights on any other coil that we use with the MXT post them here as it sure would help answer a lot of questions about coil weights. HH Dennis in Idaho

I weighted some coils with the lower shaft attached. The 9.5 weighted 1lb 4.5 oz, the 6x10 was 1lb 3.5 oz, and the 8" excelerator was 1lb 5.0 oz. A shaft and nut was 3.5 oz so, the 9.5 must be 1.1oz, the 6x10 is 1lb and the 8" is 1lb 1.5 oz. The coils all have covers on them. I used my digital scale I use for charging AC units. Rob

I wonder why the diffrence in weight between your 6x10 and mine? HH Dennis in Idaho

What's an ounce between scales? Also remember I had the shafts on and subtracted the shaft weight, could be a little error. Rob
