coil use on v3i

Yes it will work in most cases. You will not be able to run as high a gain. The most problem will be with the 22.5 kHz.

I believe your coil will work. You may get an overload as you dial your rx gain up especially approaching the teens. You will have to try and see where it overloads. Your displayed info on the 22.5 frequency will more than likely be skewed. For example a nickel usually hits 19 vdi. With the coil in question it may read a little higher say 21-23 vdi. Again you'll have to experiment to see how the coil performs. As far as the other 2 frequencies, they should work just like your stock coil that came with your detector. There is a chance your coil may not overload as you approach rx 15 but I wouldn't bet against it. Cheers

I was unable to use my old coils in Multi Frequency. It would only work in 2.5 KHz and 7.5 KHz.

Bigfoot for dfx works on mine ONLY on 7.5 khz ( for the most part ) ...VDI is erratic but detects targets pretty ok.

I think that this coil would work efficiently if was able to recalibrate loop . Im sure it can be done ... Goldfoot worked on higher freq .whites gold detectors.
I have a fair condition loop and am entertining having some of my nerdy tech geek buddies take a swing at it .

I want it to work at a higher 22.5 khz freq , then i think it would be a great ring loop.
:super:

BTW ... Lets not forget the bigfoot for prism ... A 8.3 khz model .. So think overall the differences in coil operation would be loop winding differences or capacitor filter values ..
I am going to MAKEi it my mission to get a killer MOD posted.

Hell yeah :super:

The modification forum would be the place to post it.[attachment 220128 Untitled-1.jpg]
