Coil support for WOT

Figured out my coil support this afternoon! Made this at work a while back for my stock 10.5" coil. It is made from very stiff 1/8" thick TEFLON gasket material. I thought... this should work for the WOT too! Ended up drilling one more hole at the bottom towards the back of the coil. The front hole at bottom is for mounting to the stock coil using the mounting bolt. Holes at top are for attaching to lower rod with plastic ties. Now for the WOT all I need is 3 plastic ties! Works like a champ!!! I only have 2 lower rods but have 3 coils so I will have to change it now and then. Could be worse!!!

For those that aren't as handy, coils supports can be purchased from metal detctor dealers..Do check around..as they have been used for years mainly to keep the coil flat to the ground and are used on stock coils as well..by many for this purpose..

Heres one a poster posted awhile back, don't remember which forum.

Its a plastic hanger that fits over the top of a door to hang coathangers on.This is before its cut to fit coil.

Great job, I often use the one that Whites makes on all my detectors. They only cost a few bucks but why pay for one when yours looks like it will do a good job.
