Coil size?

Hello

I am sure this question has been asked before but I do not know how to find it. I have a Deleon and I am wanting a coil that will work well in trashy areas. I do not want to loose depth either. What is the best coil for this purpose and where is the best place to buy it?

Thanks.

You need a 5.75 umax coil I believe. It would do great in the trash!!!
Greg

Okay so where do you get one? I am confused about the designation on the coils. The ones I look at say things like 5.75 coil for Umax detectors. I don't want to buy the wrong thing.
Thanks

and they will supply you with the correct coil. They make the 575 for both the uMax line and the three amigos (V/C/T) + lobo, but they are different. And not to worry, they have different connectors so you would not be able to plug it into your machine if it were the wrong set up.

If you dont have a dealer near you, I would be happy to help you.

No I do not have a dealer near me. I will be buying the coil soon so I can contact you once I have the $$$ saved up?

Tesoro has a couple of coils to consider. One is the 5-3/4" Concentric search coil and the other is the 5.75 Widescan. The first has a list price of $89.00 and the second has a list price of $129.00. The 5.75 widescan has the new H.O.T. technology which means High Output Technology. The HOT coil is what should be in your lineup for getting great depth with a smaller coil. It is a little more expensive but is well worth the cost for deeper detection depth with a smaller coil.
You can take off a discount of 20% on all products in Tesoro Line. I can help you get the correct coil for the Deleon as it has a different connector than the rest.

HOT coils only fit HOT machines C-T-V AND Lobo ST!!!!!!!

You are right I miss spoke that they would fit the Deleon. I was speaking with James at Tesoro and I asked him if they were going to make hot coils for the Deleon series and he mentioned they may.
But time will tell.

How about the 7" inch coil how will that perform I am doing good with the stock set up but I want to focus on more jewelry finds

I use the uMax coils. I own both the 5.75" concentric and the 7" concentric coils. I also own a 8" brown coil, the stock spoke coil and a 12"X10" concentric coil.

The 5.75 seems to be a little deeper. It's robust and powerful. A great small coil. I think it's a little better than the 7.

The 7 is crisp and accurate. It seems to me that it has as small a foot print as the 5.75 but the coil size causes it to be a little more bulkey and heavy. The 7 is a little cheeper than the 5.75.

Both are very good coils and work great in trash. How ever, I think most people would be more satisfied with the 5.75.

HH,

IMO the 5.75 coil works very good. I'm using it on other Tesoro machines more than the stock. I hunt mostly trashy areas.
No regrets on getting the 5.75 and because of my machines, I have both the uMax and Hot, concentric and widescan.
The uMax and HOT coils are not interchangeable between the two types of machines.
