hi every body i am a new x-terra 70 owner so far so good . i have the standard 9" coil that came with the detector, but would like to have another coil. i live in n.w iowa. myGB numbers are inthe 40 to 50 range not much mineralization. i want to get a 6" coil, i basically coin shoot most areas are pretty trashy.which coil would be the best choice. thank you.

Welcome to the X-Terra forum. I live in the SW corner of the State and have similar GB numbers. Both 6-inch coils are hot little coils. And either will perform well for you. Personally, I prefer the 6-inch DD as it seems to separate targets a bit better. One thing to keep in mind about the DD design is that it operates at 18.kHz, making it a bit more responsive to aluminum scrap. I'd prefer to have it at 3 kHz. But I've found that hunting in all metal with multiple tones, and using the Prospecting mode for target sizing, the 18.75 still does a good job. HH Randy
