Coil question

scars

New member
I seem to not be getting any decent results of late. Should I change back to my 10.5 factory coil or am I better off with the 10x12 SEF. Factory coil is a bit heavy but I remember some deep finds with it. Got smoked this weekend by a DFX and looking for answers.

To me you just cant beat the 10X12 SEF. Try doing some air testing and clean the connections. Might try swapping out a battery half way thru your hunt as well. Hey we all get smoked........... sometimes its just a matter of who walks over the target or hits an areas others over looked. The DFX doesnt have the depth of the explorer, but they are a sensitive machine with a CONCENTRIC coil that because of the foot print may work thru some trash better.

I am a huge fan of of the 10.5 stocker it stays on my machine 90% of the time. Even when its off I almost regret not have it back on for the excellent smooth characteristics and depth.
I like it even better then the Pro Coil personally.

That slimline to me Mike is one chatty coil compared to the older Exp II. The SEF even thou larger really cleans that up with superior depth.
