Coil question

PJ in MA

New member
Would the Cleansweep Coil function properly on the Silver uMax? I always thought that on a fixed GB detector only a smaller than stock coil could be used. A larger than stock would require a re-calibration. If anyone has tried this combination, what were the results.

Thanks,
PJ

Hi PJ,

Yes the Clean sweep will work.. I use it on all my tesoros, bandido11umax, eldorado, and cortes.. I love it.... I use it most all the time..Rick,ca.

I know two guys who both have silvers, one has a cleansweep, the other a bigfoot. One of them gave me a peek at a nice two-tone wedding band the other night as he passed by.....so I'm gonna say that they work "o.k.". I have a CS for my Golden which is also fixed GB.

You can use other manufacturers coils on Tesoros? I kinda thought only their coils fit on their detectors.

J.

I don't think it was a big foot, unless he may have converted it to fit the tesoro before tesoro made the cleensweep... just a thought. Rick

All I know is that he has a Silver uMax (not the silver sabre), and yes, it is a "Bigfoot" coil. He uses it primarily for the wet sand @ low tide. He does quite well with it I might add... I am not sure if there are other cols that can be used as well.
