Ok I have a coil question. I have seen is posts and replies people referring to having their MD recalibrated? I bought a used Coinstrike and after a short while It started going Crazy. I tried everything and eventually decide to send it in to Fisher and have it Checked out and Recalibrated. A couple days after Fisher go it they called and stated C$s dont need calibrated and that they determined it had a bad coil! Felix stated they didn't have a coil for my C$ and I'm almost sure he said it would take a couple more weeks or so to "make" me one! Does this sound right? Can they make a coil special for a MD they no longer sell? It feels like it weighs more than the stock coil By maybe 1/4 Lb? It had cost me $30 to ship it to them and they checked it and replaced (made) a new coil put it on and re tested the MD, then paid return shipping to me and charged me $140. So I have $170 I just put into my C$! I put the C$ back together and took it out to test it as soon as I got it back, It is so quiet and stable now and man is it deep! Does anyone think it is possible that the heavier new coil weighing more than the old coil might have been made using something Fisher has figured out through the year and somehow made me a better than stock coil? I'm telling you this C$ with the new coil is a monster, When I got mine it was mint and had been in a closet without the batteries. Now it's still min,t has a new coil, and a clean recent bill of health From Fisher Service. Another question I have is I have been a member here for close to six months now but never post Because I can't find a Post option? I usually just read posts and replies. I was looking at the classifieds here and saw you have to have what 26 posts before you can sell an item here? I want to list the C$ for sale and another MD I have, if I have it still when I reach the number of posts to list, I might list the other first then list the C$ here when I can list a second MD? But for now how do I post anything here in the Forum? I need to build up my posts? Thanks GL and HH.....Pat
