Coil question

Thinking about buying the 11" DD coil for my Platinum. What can the DD coil do that the 8" stock coil cant?
 
Find deeper targets.

The dept of detection is aprox the same as the dia of the coil.

The other side of the coin is that it is more difficult to pin point a target, plus you are more likely to pick up two targets at a time and confuse the machine.
