Coil question.... new to MXT

Hi, I'm new to the MXT. So new in fact that it hasn't come yet. Got one comeing from e-bay. I had a DFX but it was too much detector for me so I sold it. Then got a Whites Goldmaster II.
Question is? Will the eliptical coil on the Goldmaster II, the one that comes with it, work on the MXT?

Hi Joe,

The eliptical Goldmaster coil will not work on the MXT, Two different types of coils and the Goldmaster operates at a much higher kHz than the MXT.

If you can, Get the 6X10" DD coil for the MXT. Great coil for trashy areas while still maintaining good depth.

-The coils for the DFX and the MXT are the only 2 that will work on either one. These made by Whites say Eclipse on them and the 2 I like are the 4X6 mini shooter for trashy area and the 6X10 DD coil for the main coil.
 
I bought ("won") a new Eclipse 6x10 DD coil on Ebay and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the MXT I bought ("won") last week.
