Coil question for the beach ???

The D2 is a v-rated coil that works optimum on the v3i.... The sef might work good but is not v-rated and may give you trouble with the 22.5 frequency. Pretty easy choice, Whites D2 all the way.

Sonny 1965, how or where would I find out which coil is V rated? I bought a V3 and needed some work done and White's upgraded it for me. When I bought the V3, I also purchased a SEF and a 4x6 coil. I did ask if both were for the V3, and was told the affirmative. Thanks for your help.

No aftermarket coils are V rated but might still work OK. The White's coils that are made for the V will have a manufacturing code on the mounting ear starting with V.

If you hunt the beaches much you would be better off buying the 9.5 or 12". The concentric coils will be subject to less falsing. Rob
