Coil Question for older Teknetics Mark I

Prospector

New member
I have been told the newer 10" magnum bounty hunter coil will work on my Teknetics Mark I, does that sound right? Was told pretty much any Bounty Hunter coil would work on it. Thanks for the info.

I think that's probably true. I put an 8" BH coil on my Mark 1 and it seems to work OK but I didn't check the depth it got, I just wanted to see if would give a signal on a coin. The BH coils plug directly into the Mark 1 so no adapter needed. I have a 10" coil - I'll try it later and see if there's any improvement in depth and let you know the results.

Thanks! I am wanting to try the 10" magnum myself to see how much more depth it has over the 7" stock coil. Also curious if it affect the target I.D. of the meter.
