Coil Question:confused:

I'll be moving to Virginia next Spring, I'm just using the stock coil with my MXT now. What would be a good coil to use for relic hunting back in Virginia?

I appreciate your input and any comments, Thanks..........dand

I'd opt for the Super 12" with the newer solid-bottomed coil cover. Better depth, and the solid coil cover prevents snagging on brush. HH Jim

The SEF coils and the MXT work exceptionally well in the Red/Orange soils of VA. http://www.kellycodetectors.com/excelerator/10x12_excelerator_report.htm

Hey Dand,

Go with the SEF's. I've heard numerous reports from Virginia about the Super 12's that the ground mineralization really messes with these coils. Pick up a SEF coil AND a long handled shovel. You'll need it!
