Purchased this coil along with coil cover for $3.00 not knowing what brand of detector it fit or if it functioned properly. Went to the search engine and found that it will work with the 1200 series models. Anyone have any idea what model would be best for this coil.

Any 1200 series detector will use this coil it won't work on a 1220 or 1260x though, these coils are rare!! You got a steal at that price!!

The "Super 6" coils were aftermarket coils made by Mel Parker. He made 100 of them for the 1266's in the mid 1990's. Great coils that were/are almost as deep as the 8 inch Fisher coils. They're hard to find, and if one is found it usually sells for a premium price.. Three dollars for one is highway robbery.

I attended a church yard sale and this coil was among radios, computers, televisions and all sorts of electric items...No one knew anything about this coil, the only item associated with metal detectors and I asked how much...
