Jim,that 800 precision coil WILL NOT work with your series 3 metal detector. You series 3 only uses '6B' coils. Trust me as I have knowledge of the subject. I am surprised that no one pointed this out to you. If you need a second opinion...call Whites on Tuesday and they will confirm what I said. The only Bluemax coil that will work is the 256 widescan made back in the late 1980s. Whites did something to their coils around 1989 and they won't work accurately with the older Whites units made prior to 1989. Except the Classic series and 4900 for a few years more.
