does the coil freqency control the detector.on minelab detectors x 70's you can go from 3kh to18kh in three coils approx. why i am asking is that a short time ago i bought a snip[er coil for my ace 250 to try and improve it's perforemence. now that i have a v on it's way it will be wasted . so i thought that maybe if changed the connections on the sniper coil i could run it on the vaquero for those tight places. by the way you lucky people in usa the vaquero costs 1080aud here in australia and the 5.75 coil costs $ 250 aud just thought i'd let you all know what it costs to buy a detector of your choice here. and no you are not allowed to buy it through the internet .i tried.

I'm sorry Blowfly but I don't think there is any way a 250 coil will work on any Tesoro.

The Minlab X 70 is multi filter machine that can adapt to different coil frequencies.

Tesoro's and Ace's are two filter machines and are not compadable.

That's a lot of money for a coil. We only pay $104 for a 5.75.

The V will leave your 250 in the dust. The V is detecting fun.

HH,

blowfly - I'll tell ya' what I know about the 250 which probably isn't enough to stuff in your eye. But, the 250 with the sniper coil will go along channel iron in an outdoor stadium, or in a tot lot and pick up coins and other valubles. You have to turn the sensitivity down some, you can't do that with a Vaquero, it's too hot of a machine.

If you can afford to keep the Ace 250 with it's lesser power, there are uses for this treasure finder. One can almost touch the metal with the sniper coil. It has worked for me. If you have mineralized soil over there, it might not work for you. Dimesworth
