coil for X-Terra 70

I received an Email today from Minelab here in Adelaide.I had asked there advice on the most suitable coil for the the 70 at the beach. They advised the best coil for the beach was the 10" round DD 7.5khz.
As I'm only a newbe and had only heard of the 5x10 DD 18.75khz I was surprised to here of the existence of this coil. QUESTION for general use would the 7.5khz be better than the 18.75khz.
 
Another thing to consider is the weight. The 5 x 10 is considerably lighter than the 10.5" round DD. HH
