Coil for Eldorado

I have a Tesoro Eldorado. So far I've been pretty happy with the performance of the unit but would like to get more depth. What is the best coil for typical coin hunting in parks, yards, and construction sites?

Thanks,
RDD

Which Eldorado do you have? What coil is on it now?

There was an early metal box Eldorado with an 8

The 10 x 12 for depth but not by much maybe 1-1 1/2" on average. Makes for coil heavy balancing.

Best all around coil 8x9 or the 8" brown donut which have the same performance.

Also heard if you can find a round 10" open center white concentric coil, you will be happy.
There's on on ebay Australia right now. Very hard to find coil.
Don't expect the Eldo to be any deeper than the other Tesoros.

The best around coil is the 8 inch doughnut coil. It's my favorite Tesoro coil. Without the coil cover, it's like swinging a feather and gets the same depth as the 9 x 8 does.

The 8 inch coil cover for it is extremely heavy for its size and it's not really needed unless you detect over rock and gravel.

Also the 8 inch coil can detect targets closer to a wall than the 9 x 8 coil can. Rusty Henry pointed that out to me.

Once you use a 8 inch doughnut coil you won't want to back to using the 9 x 8 coil.:)
