Coil for Cibola, which one??

Im looking at the 12 by 10. Do any of yall have this? If so, what do you think of it? My little brother has the Compadre, so if i need to borrow his 5.75 coil, i can. Not much trash here, and i want more depth. Do any other manufacturers make bigger coils for the Cibola? I looked but didnt see any. Thanks

Robert

The stock 9x8 concentric is more than likely the best coil to use for getting max depth on the Cibola. If a larger coil would add depth to their detectors Tesoro would be making them. Just run it as hot as you can for those open areas and overlap well. The 12X10 DD will give better ground coverage and let you hunt large open areas more efficiently is all. Using the proper sweep speed is the most important thing for getting max depth on the Cibola. JMHO

Hi Robert, very nice to meet you. I like the stock 9x8 coil very much and don't feel you will do much better. I am a Golden uMax fan and have dug a few targets at 12" because of it's ability and it comes with the 9x8 coil which is fine for me. But I don't have any bad mineralization around here. So you got a great setup in the Cibola and happy hunting Robert, God Bless.

The Compadre is a different platform and your "C" will not run that coil. The stock coil is a dandy like everyone has said, stick with it you will do well...Geo

It will not give you hardly any greater depth unless unles you are hunting in mineralized soil. It will give you greater coverage but about equal in depth to the 9 by 8. Stick with the 9 by 8 and you will have the best set up.

I've got the 10 x 12, and I'm not very impressed with it. Gets more ground coverage, but isn't any deeper, and it's a pain to pinpoint. Might be better in mineralized ground. The best coil for the Cibola is the one that comes on it. You might add the 5" if you're hunting old house sites.
