coil experts needed for feedback please:whites:

He's HEAVY! Larry had one, but thought it was too big for him, so I didn't even want to try it. HH, Nancy

VERY heavy and covers a lot of ground but depth is not that good. The words DEEP SCAN is a little misleading, equivalent to an 8 inch coil in depth. Advantage is it is a DD coil with good separation. You would do a lot better with the D2 coil IMHO.

I had one and sold it quick. Didn't get any more depth and to heavy. Mt arsenal now is SEF 12 X15, 6 X 10, D2 10", 12.5 Excelerator. All bases covered!!!

Hi Joe,

Which of your coils is your favorite?

Thanks,

Bob

All of them depending where I hunt.

Open Fields=SEF 12X15 or 12.5 Excel.
Trash area and thick wooded areas= 6X10
D2 woods and hot ground.

I sure like mine, but being #1 is debatable. It depends a lot on the person using them and your ground conditions. In mild to medium ground a Conical coil will outperform a DD or SEF for depth but the SEF/DD is still very good with separation for a larger coil.
