Coil Covers

If you leave your coil cover on while detecting will it interupt with the detecting at all???
Do you leave them on while detecting???

I think thats the purpose of the coil covers,
and yes, you leave them on while detecting.
It does not interfere ..

They're intended to protect the coil from scuffs, dings from rocks, abrasions and assorted wear and tear. Like a light bulb or condom, they work best when in the on position. It's not a bad idea to remove them when they get soaked (same for condoms and light bulbs by the way) or to remove accumulated debris...(I won't say it), and you might as well clean your coil with a damp cloth while the cover is off.

Sorry about the references......... but can you argue the point???

Yes the coil cover stays on at all times to protect the coil from dings and scuffs from rocks and stuff. They do not reduce your detection depth.
But you should take them off and clean out any dirt or water that my have gotten in it. Because it could cause falsing .

They do fine if you keep them cleaned out or seal them up. Dirt and moisture collecting inside can cause arratic behavior fro your detector.
