hi, i have an 8.5" spider coil and I just purchased a coil cover from my fisher dealer, my coil looks brand new. now how do you get the coil cover to stay on? I press down as hard as possible and as soon as i bump something it falls right off. this is the thicker white cover. i tried to clamp it and as soon as i took the clamps off it came right off with it. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks

and are using the white coil cover? I'm not sure if the different colors are completely compatible. I know my old 1235X has a black coil with a white coil cover, so I may or may not be correct. Worse comes to worse, go get a 8-pack of small cable ties and attach the coil cover to your coil with that.

i have a black 8.5 spider coil and a white coil cover. i had a white one on before but i took it off and one of the kids stepped on it and cracked it so i bought a new one.

White coil cover have not been made in years but are certainly compatible with black coils..I like the effect myself and have had white covers on black coils..Age may have something to do with it as it may have warped...This is worth a try drop the coil cover in extremely hot water and will expand...put on coil hot and may contract and stay on...
