Coil Cover Question

A

Anonymous

Guest
On my exp II I noticed that when I bumped something like a twig or grass or even the sand I was getting a false signel. On taking the coil cover off I found that it was packed with wet sand and after cleaning and drying it seemed to help the falseing.
Question is should I seal the edges around the coil cover or get rid of it altogether.
Thanks, need all the advice I can get, Chuck swf

Yes wet sand/soil between the cover and shell can cause quite a bit of falsing. Some guys try to seal the cover, I just removed mine and eliminated the problem altogether.

I have notice this happening before (like today), is the reason always the same, sand/water in coil cover? It can really be irritating. <img src="/metal/html/angry.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":mad">
