Coil Cover Keeps Falling Off

Has anyone else encountered their coil covers falling off? Sometimes the 5.75" cover on Compadre just falls off in the grass or even just bumping it on the ground. The fits somewhat loose.

I have covers for all my coils. I dont use them. Many of us bo not use them. They add a little extra weight. I have used Tesoro for many years now and have never messed up a coil. If I am going to hunt in a rocky area, than it is a good idea to use one. Take a couple pieces of electrical tape. Put them oppisite of each other. Most of the time that will make it fit tight. DO NOT USE GLUE. Remember, your Tesoro coil has a life time warranty. KEN. Ind.

I use a couple of Velcro straps like you would use for corralling an extension cord, they come in a small roll. Two opposite each other on my 8 inch Compadre coil it's a done deal and stays on place. I remove them to clean off the coil and get any sand from between the coil and cover, then right back on it goes. Simple solution for me and it protects my coil around concrete walk edges and steps.

Excellent tips. Thanks gents!
