coil cover for 12" beach hunter 300

Does whites make a spider coil cover for the 12" coil on the beach hunter 300. I only see the closed face coil cover advertised.

Thanks
Jason

Yes, it is right above the closed cover http://whiteselectronics.com/products/accessories/search-coils.html

Am I the only person that doesn't use a coil cover on the beach?
I thought about it once, but determined that if it isn't sealed, salt and sand is going to get in and adversely affect the signal, and if it is sealed, trapped air will only add to the natural bouyancy of the BHID 950 coil.

Is there something I'm missing?

Yes. Beach sand acts like sandpaper and it will eventually wear through the bottom of the coil causing much more misery than air bubbles in between the coil and coil cover.
