Hi all! Im new to the forum and have only been MDing for about 6 months. I purchased an XL PRO machine and I finally think im getting the hang of it.
I also obtained a 1270 fisher recently. My question is since these two detectors run at different frequencies (XL at 6.59? and the 1270 at 8.2?)
Can I use the 8" on my XL instead of the 950?
The connections seem to be identical.

no! the frequencies HAVE to be the same!..you CAN use the 6.59 khz 8" coil on the xl-pro ONLY!..you CANNOT use the 8" 8.2 khz coil from the fisher on the xl-pro!
