I just bought a 5.75 Coil for my Cortez and I noticed something strange. With my stock Coil when the Detector is powered on it emits a tone then fades away. This Detector hunts great with the stock coil. With the 5.75 the Detector emits no sound at all when powered up and the TID readings are slightly different. Is this normal?
