Coil bolt and nut

Just curious if anyone has had any problem with the coil bolts on the CTX. I took mine apart today to ship back for some fixes to minor shaft problems and had trouble removing the bolt. It was very tight (worn threads), no doubt some of that fine Florida sand got in the threads... I did get it removed and then added some silicone grease after cleaning it which seemed to help... Anyone out there know if you can purchase replacement bolts or should I just go the route of the Excal and GT and hit the hardware store for a suitable replacements?
Also did notice some minor wear on the coil ears from sand and coil movement, guess additional preventative maintenance will be required from here on out so I don't wear through the coil ears, they are much thinner than the Tornado coils.

I see that You tube's 'gravediggermax' hunts the Va shores a lot and he has epoxied his entire coil surface on his machines. He also has a lot of other neat little remedies for issues, like a wooden shaft for his scoop (he uses several different ones-dry land and wet), and a carbon fiber one also. Also has hand grips attached. I haven had any issues with the bolt but the rubber grommet does get a bit weathered and beat up. Like many here, I went to Home Depot and got some non-metal replacements. I would think the silicone would attract and retain sand. On my old excal I fashioned a plexiglas bracket for the coil so it would not tilt up and down so much in the waves. Took a flat triangular piece about 7" tall by 5" at the base and drilled the bottom, where I attached it to the nut area. Then use elecrtical tie wraps for the top to attach it to the shaft. I put about 50 holes in it to cut down on water drag. It took a bit of guessing to get the correct angle on the triangle to keep the coil flat as I swung it. Using that 'brace' I never had any issues after with the coil getting loose.

The following link on Ebay shows a bolt kit (including washers) for Minelab FBS detectors. The same kit/bolts fit the Explorers, E-trac and CTX 3030: Somewhat expensive though!
