Coil Advice on the Little Joey Coil Please.

D Wes

New member
I would like to purchase the Joey Coil, but before I do, any advice or help on it would be welcomed.
How does the Depth compare to the 8" coils. Thanks!

I use it a lot in iron laden laden or trashy areas,it's a great coil and the depth is excellent for it's size, also you are getting good ground coverage,it will definitely get you more finds in the iron than the stock Tornado coil,I highly recommend it,however I have not tried all the 8 inch coils so others might give you advise on how they compare.

Also I sealed my joey and use it on the beach as it can be maxed out and is sensitive and stable and get in among the rocks on the wet sand area
Here's a day I had with it on my GT on my local beach

Have to agree, Joey is a grate coil, again as said, in iron area it is better than the tornado 7.5 inc and the sunray 8.
I have used many a sov coil to get away from iron and nulling.
The joey was the best.
But having said that, If you dont encounter iron much, then go for the 7.5 (alough they call it an 8 inch) tornado coil
