Bill, all I know is they bought FRL and decided to get heavily into industrial and security. But the 1st thing they did was fire Jim Lewellyn
who was the man that turned FRL into a MONSTER.
 
....and they will probably be out of the hobby detector business. Lots of bad decisions all the way around, beginning with the discontinuance of their best detectors. How "duh" is that ?

I like all my CZ's, but their best detector right now is The Coin$trike. I think there's too much tradition since 1931 to just give it all up like that.....
 
If they were to go out of business, your lifetime warranty would probably go with them. If they sold the business, the new business would be responsible for the lifetime warranty, if they agreed to that as part of the sale. Otherwise, it would probably go away.

Just hypothesising.
