I was intrigued by your idea of limiting the tones to just 3; one for iron, nickel and silver. So,  I gave it a shot this past weekend and I have to say it was a pleasure to use.  I thought it was easier to pick out  trash targets.  No more confusing barrage of sounds and the lower frequencies are much easier on the ears.  I've been using audio 2 for the longest time and with just 3 tones, all in all, it's just a heck of a lot simpler.  The targets really "lock" in.  One quick look at the digital readout, and I pretty much know what I'm looking for.
Re: audio 2, are there any advantages / disadvantages using it exclusively? Am I better off with Audio 1?
