Cobra Beach Magnet Detector

Never used it, but have seen this question a couple times on the forum here and the general concensus of the folks who know about them say you're wasting your money. Read through some of these threads and you'll find the names of the good reliable detectors.

Dutch I have a Cobra Beach Magnet, I used it for a few weeks but was not happy with the depth, it is simple to run, just set to the preset locations and start hunting. I used it in fresh water most of the time. When I got to saltwater it would false signal in the wet sand at some of the beaches here in Fl. Once out in the water it was OK.I got an Excal. for Xmas. and it is like day and night. I keep the Cobra in the toolbox of my truck for a back up. Used it just the other day and 2 to 3 inches was the deepest target. If you hunt as much as I do batteries could get expensive, maybe rechargeable would save some after the first investment. If you have any questions send me a PM and I will get back to you.
